The Role at a Glance

As the Sr. Manager, Statutory Investment Accounting - Derivatives, you will lead a team responsible for the accounting, reporting, and control activities supporting Lincoln's derivative investment portfolio and related transactions. In this role, you will provide strategic and technical leadership over statutory accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and a strong control environment. You will partner closely with Treasury, Middle Office, Reinsurance, Accounting Policy, and Financial Reporting teams to address complex accounting matters, support business initiatives, and drive operational excellence. Leveraging your expertise in statutory accounting and leadership capabilities, you will develop talent, lead process improvements, and help shape the future direction of Lincoln's investment accounting function.

What you'll be doing

• Establishes and implements priorities, manages performance, shares expertise, and develops talent through hiring, training, feedback, and stretch opportunities to ensure strong results.
• Manages a team of early to mid-career professionals with accountability for operational performance and results.
• Leads the execution of monthly statutory close activities for derivative investments, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
• Manages the preparation and review of statutory reporting schedules, disclosures, and related analyses in accordance with NAIC and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees statutory hedge accounting activit
