State Street is looking for a hands-on Application Engineering Agile Room Lead to provide engineering leadership in the build-out, modernization, and enhancement of a large-scale, business-critical Investment Accounting platform. The candidate will work in a dynamic, fast-paced Agile team environment, partnering closely with business and technology teams across global locations.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience leading software engineering teams responsible for complex enterprise applications, a strong understanding of financial services and investment accounting workflows, and proven success modernizing large-scale legacy systems. The candidate will help drive the evolution of the platform through modernization initiatives, adoption of contemporary engineering practices, and selective use of cloud capabilities where they deliver measurable business value

• Lead a software engineering team responsible for enhancing and supporting a business-critical portfolio accounting and middle-office application.
• Drive the planning and execution of application modernization initiatives, evolving a Windows-based Visual C++ platform toward a modern distributed architecture with web-based user experiences and Java-based services.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architecture, infrastructure, and risk teams to deliver strategic technology solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, maintainable, and operationally resilient software solutions.
• Oversee solution design, software development, production readiness, and operational stability.
• Lead Agile delivery activities, including release planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution across global teams.
