Position Overview

Graybill Medical Group is seeking an experienced Controller to serve as the senior accounting leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and control of our accounting function.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will own the day-to-day accounting function, including the general ledger, month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, audit readiness, and leadership of assigned Finance staff.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a strong technical accountant who can independently manage complex accounting issues, strengthen processes and controls, and develop an accountable accounting team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and preparation of accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Oversee the general ledger, balance-sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, debt, payroll accounting, and other significant accounting activity.
• Serve as the organization’s technical accounting leader, researching and resolving routine and complex GAAP matters.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, documentation standards, and financial processes.
• Lead accounting preparation for audits, tax work, due diligence, and other external financial reviews.
• Oversee accounts payable and payroll accounting and related financial controls.
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable assigned Finance and accounting staff.
• Improve accounting systems, workflows, documentation, and process
