Build the Marketing Engine Behind a High-Growth Law Firm

Hirsch Law Group is a rapidly growing law firm focused on criminal defense and immigration. We are building a best-in-class organization that combines exceptional legal representation with operational excellence and measurable growth.

We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who knows how to scale revenue, build brand authority, create high-performing marketing systems, and hold teams and vendors accountable to measurable results.

This role will lead the firm's marketing function from strategy through execution and will have direct accountability for marketing performance, lead generation, conversion, brand growth, and ROI.

The CMO will sit at the leadership table, influence business decisions, and partner closely with firm leadership to shape and execute the firm's growth strategy.

Your Mission

  • Build and own a high-performance marketing engine that attracts, nurtures, and converts ideal legal clients.
  • Create and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy aligned with the firm's growth goals.
  • Analyze, optimize, and own ROI across marketing spend, vendors, contractors, platforms, and campaigns.
  • Strengthen the firm's brand position and market presence.
  • Build scalable marketing systems, processes, reporting, and accountability structures.
  • Partner with leadership to support long-term firm growth and expansion.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Revenue Growth & Marketing Strategy

  • Design and implement a full-funnel marketing strategy focused on client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Translate firm goals into measurable marketing priorities, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Identify growth opportunities across practice areas, markets, referral channels, and digital platforms.
  • Lead demand generation efforts across SEO, paid media, email, referral programs, community partnerships, and other channels.
  • Develop brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that support firm growth.
  • Evaluate marketing investments based on measurable business results.

Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Oversee lead-generation efforts across Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, SEO, Local Service Ads, email marketing, referral programs, and other acquisition channels.
  • Improve lead quality, conversion rates, and marketing efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize:
  • Marketing-sourced leads
  • Cost per lead
  • Cost per consultation
  • Lead-to-consultation conversion
  • Lead-to-client conversion
  • Marketing-sourced revenue
  • Return on marketing investment
  • Partner closely with Intake to align lead generation with conversion optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the client journey from first inquiry through signed client.

Performance Marketing & Digital Execution

  • Lead performance marketing strategy across paid and organic channels.
  • Oversee SEO strategy, audits, website performance, and content optimization.
  • Manage Google Ads and paid social strategy, optimization, and reporting.
  • Oversee email marketing automation and nurture campaigns.
  • Drive conversion rate optimization and A/B testing.
  • Evaluate website UX and content strategy to improve client acquisition.
  • Use dashboards and real-time performance data to make informed marketing decisions.

Marketing Analytics & Revenue Accountability

  • Build and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into marketing performance.
  • Establish reporting systems that connect marketing activity to leads, consultations, clients, and revenue.
  • Analyze conversion data, cost-per-lead metrics, campaign performance, and marketing ROI.
  • Present recommendations and results to senior leadership.
  • Identify underperforming channels and implement corrective action.
  • Make data-driven recommendations regarding where the firm should increase, decrease, or redirect marketing investments.

Vendor & Agency Management

  • Manage external agencies, consultants, contractors, and marketing vendors.
  • Establish clear deliverables, SLAs, timelines, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews.
  • Hold vendors accountable to quality, responsiveness, results, and ROI.
  • Lead vendor selection, negotiation, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Evaluate vendor relationships and make recommendations based on business impact.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a growing internal marketing team.
  • Establish clear roles, expectations, performance standards, and accountability.
  • Develop marketing team members and create infrastructure that supports growth.
  • Establish SOPs, workflows, and team processes.
  • Oversee the marketing technology stack, including CRM, automation, analytics, and reporting systems.
  • Build scalable team structures as the firm expands.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Intake, Operations, Finance, and firm leadership.
  • Align marketing activity with revenue goals and business priorities.
  • Support attorney business development, referrals, and community visibility.
  • Champion firm-wide marketing integration across client experience, recruiting, referrals, and brand.
  • Present strategy and results to senior leadership in a clear, data-backed manner.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of marketing experience.
  • At least 3+ years in a senior or executive marketing role such as Director, VP, Head of Marketing, or CMO.
  • Proven success creating and executing full-funnel marketing strategies that generated measurable business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience with lead generation, demand generation, digital marketing, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets with clear performance targets.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, attribution, conversion data, and ROI.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, consultants, or internal marketing teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing, CRM systems, and marketing automation.
  • Ability to connect marketing strategy and activity directly to business outcomes and revenue.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a law firm, legal services organization, professional services firm, or other B2C service business.
  • Experience marketing services where trust, reputation, and client relationships are critical.
  • Experience managing an annual marketing budget of $500,000+.
  • Experience with local SEO, reviews management, authority building, and intake alignment.
  • Familiarity with legal advertising and client solicitation considerations.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization.

Tools & Systems

Experience with platforms such as

  • CRM: HubSpot, Salesforce, Clio Grow, Lawmatics, or similar
  • Marketing Automation: ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, GoHighLevel, or similar
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar
  • Project Management

Compensation

Potential increase to $500,000 per year; based on the achievement of mutually agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the applicable salary incentive structure.
