Job Summary

The Treasury Analyst reports directly to the Director of Taxes and is responsible for managing the Authority’s cash management function, risk assessment associated with capital markets, bank relations and compliance. This position will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer of AWA to manage compliance with bond debt covenants and reporting to financial institutions.

Principal Responsibilities

Responsible for managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, financial statement analysis and support investment strategies.

Develop cash targets to support efficient liquidity management.

Processes electronic cash receipts and cash disbursements and accounting.

Processes daily cash positioning activities including managing daily liquidity, cash position reconciliation and bank reporting.

Maintain excess operating cash to obtain maximum interest revenue.

Supports the Authority’s debt portfolio, including debt issuances and refinancings.

Supports compliance of the Authority’s debt covenant requirements.

Develop a structure to work collaboratively with lenders, rating agencies and financial institutions.
