Day to Day

As a Software Engineer II on the Ranking Platform team, you will build and maintain the infrastructure behind Indeed's job ranking system, improving the system that decides the order of the jobs jobseekers see across job surfaces. You'll take features from idea to production and ensure they remain performant once they're live. Alongside engineering, science, and site reliability partners, you'll help keep one of Indeed's most revenue-critical systems fast and reliable at significant scale.

In this role, you'll participate in design and code reviews and use observability and verification tooling to confirm changes are correct and fast before they reach jobseekers. You'll also build tooling that makes contributing to ranking safer and easier for others, deepening your skills as a platform engineer who cares as much about enabling internal users as about improving the external user experience.
