SOFT's client located in Remotely is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer ( SRE ) - AWS for a long term contract assignment.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 6 to 9+ years of relevant work experience. Highly Preferred Education/Experience: B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience with 6 to 9+ years of relevant work experience.

Position requires a broad understanding of various information technology disciplines and how they are combined to provide business value:

• UNIX and Windows Operating Systems
• Server Hardware, Firewalls, Network routing, Switches, Load Balancers
• Middleware, File Transfer and Messaging, and Database
• Cloud Technology
• Automation Technology

Responsibilities: Knowledge: · Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of System operations, policies, procedures and technologies. Communications: · Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience. · Effectively communicates with clients and other resources to update and maintain progress status. Provide input / status updates to senior leadership and executives during project design, build, and testing phases. Automation & Toil Reduction · Demonstrating a proven track record of identifying repetitive manual tasks and implementing automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce operational burden, and improve productivity. Incident Management & On-Call Practices · Applying best practices in incident response, including proactive monitoring, rapid triage, and effective communication during on-call rotations.
