Senior/Principal DevOps Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior/Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the design and development of our next-generation AWS infrastructure. This role will own cloud architecture, IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes, automation, and platform reliability while helping migrate our platform to a scalable environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can balance performance, cost, security, and reliability.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or 10+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in Computer Science.
• 10+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with automation, tooling, and distributed systems.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying solutions in AWS, including VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, and related services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Proficiency with Terraform and/or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
• Expert knowledge of GitLab and experience with GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring and observability; Grafana, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch are a plus.
• Scripting experience with Bash and/or Groovy is preferred.
• Familiarity with Nexus, ECR, and Sonar is a plus.

Qualification

• Strong background in cloud architecture, scalable infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to design reliable systems focused on availability, durability, performance, and correctness.
• Experience building CI/CD workflows across Development, QA, Stage, and Production.
• Ability to independently recommend and implement improvements to architecture, security, tooling, and deployment processes.

Compensation

Base Salary: $160k - $200k

Actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, qualifications, and expected contributions. Additional compensation may include variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
