CMiT is seeking a highly motivated Senior Backend Developer (AWS) to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that support critical federal missions.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with deep experience in modern JavaScript technologies, AWS cloud services, and backend application development. You will play a key role in building secure, high-performing solutions while contributing to an agile and collaborative development environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with Node.js
Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with React
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including
AWS Lambda
DynamoDB
Amazon S3
EventBridge
Kinesis
Minimum 2 years of experience working with AWS cloud tools and services
Minimum 1 year of experience writing SQL and working with relational databases
Strong understanding of complex business processes and the systems that support them
Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Passion for solving complex software challenges and delivering high-quality solutions
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Clearance Requirement
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearanc
