Palantir Data engineer - Forward Deployment Engineers

Required QualificationsExperience

• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data engineering, data migration, large-scale system integration, or related technical delivery roles.
• 3–5+ years directly leading end-to-end data migration or multi-system consolidation programs for global enterprises.
• Proven experience working as a Forward Deployment Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar client-facing engineering role.
• Proven hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry in a production delivery environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Foundry Pipeline Builder
• Foundry Ontology
• Contour
• Code Workbook / Code Repositories
• Workshop
• Demonstrated experience working directly with clients and advising C-level executives, enterprise architecture teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience delivering complex data solutions involving:
• 3+ heterogeneous source systems
• 100M+ records
• Master data harmonization
• Data mapping and reconciliation
• Multi-phase migration and cutover
• Industry experience in at least two of the following:
• Healthcare
• Financial Services
• Manufacturing
• Energy & Utilities
• Retail
• Public Sector

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Working experience with PySpark and TypeScript/JavaScript for pipeline, application, or SDK development.
• Hands-on experience with modern ETL/ELT platforms such as:
• AWS Glue
• Azure Data Factory
• Informatica
• Talend
• Matillion
• Fivetran
• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform:
• AWS
• Azure
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, managed data services, IAM, networking, and security.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as:
• Snowflake
• Databricks
• BigQuery
• Redshift
• Synapse Analytics
• Delta Lake
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI-driven tooling into data transformation
