Life Sciences: AI Trainer

About the Role

We are seeking experienced life sciences researchers to join a 12-week AI training sprint as contract contributors. In this role, you will apply your domain expertise to evaluate, annotate, and improve AI-generated responses across the life sciences — drug discovery, computational biology, and experimental biology. You will also design and build challenging, realistic tasks that mirror the complex work of your field — complete with scenarios, supporting files, and grading rubrics — used to evaluate and improve AI systems. Your work directly shapes the accuracy and reliability of AI tools used in scientific research.

This is not a traditional lab or analysis role — you will be helping build better AI by putting your knowledge to work in a structured, flexible, fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to life-sciences prompts for scientific accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness.
• Annotate and rank model outputs to guide AI training and improvement.
• Write clear, expert-level answers to scientific questions that serve as model training examples.
• Flag errors, misconceptions, or ambiguous outputs and provide corrective guidance.
• Propose, design, and build realistic tasks drawn from your own research — including the scenario and prompt, realistic supporting input files, and a detailed rubric for grading AI performance.
• Run your tasks against AI models and iterate based on expert reviewer feedback.
• Follow detailed written instructions precisely, including document and upload format requirements.
• Maintain consistent quality and throughput throughout the sprint engagement.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD (or current PhD candidate) in Biology or a directly related field, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in drug discovery, computational biology/bioinformatics, or experimental biology.
