  • Experience designing and deploying enterprise landing zones or cloud foundations.

  • Strong experience with Terraform, GitHub/GitLab, DevOps, CI/CD automation.
  • Experience with cloud governance, security controls, compliance frameworks, and operational best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and solution design capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud architectures utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other public cloud services such as AWS and Rackspace.
  • Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to ensure consistent and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
  • Manage IT infrastructure including virtualized environments with VMware, OpenStack, and Citrix to support hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Develop and maintain cloud management solutions for Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), SaaS applications, PaaS offerings, and IaaS environments.
  • Implement security best practices by configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions, system hardening techniques, and VPNs to safeguard data and resources across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor distributed systems for performance issues, scalability bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities; optimize systems for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with development teams on microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, web services integration, and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Support DevOps automation efforts by scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby to streamline CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure, or other public cloud providers.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS models, and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).
  • Proficiency in managing virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, and Rackspace environments.
  • Expertise in automating deployment processes using Terraform, Ansible, Chef or Puppet; familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems design concepts including scalability, load balancing, system hardening and security protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for microservices deployment.
  • Programming skills in Python, Bash scripting or PowerShell for automation tasks; knowledge of JavaScript or Ruby is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of network security practices including VPN setup and management; experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure management principles along with Agile development methodologies to support continuous improvement efforts.

Pay: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
