Founding Head of Client Accounting Services (CAS)

We're building Cherrywood Advisors to be the single best place to work, where top accountants can do their best work, love what they do, and provide excellent service to the mission-driven entrepreneurs who are moving our communities forward.

This is a founding hire: the first accounting leader on the team, owning client accounting delivery end to end (no tax).

What you'll own

• End-to-end delivery. Proactively and autonomously manage the delivery of bookkeeping and client accounting services, from the first onboarding call through to stable, ongoing monthly delivery.
• Final sign-off. Serve as reviewer and final sign-off on all client work, so clients and the firm can trust it's technically correct and accurate. You are the last set of eyes; there is no layer above you on quality.
• Client relationships. Own the client relationship across your portfolio, guiding and advising clients with excellent, personable service.
• Production across the caseload. Manage a full portfolio of work, keeping every client deliverable on track.
• Supervise the team. There is a part-time bookkeeper already in place, but we will add more bookkeepers and staff accountants as the firm grows.

• Superior client relationship management — personable, welcoming, high EQ, and the confidence and gravitas to guide and advise clients.
• Deep technical expertise — able to review and be the final sign-off on accounting work.
• Production management across a client caseload.
• A genuine excitement about building a modern, tech-forward accounting firm.

Nice-to-have skills

• Niche expertise — a specific industry where you have developed expertise, fluency with a unique accounting software or ERP system, or some other specialized experience that would help differentiate our services
