# Controller — Multi-Entity Industrial Construction & Energy

Sons of Liberty | Remote (US) | Full-time | $130K–$165K + bonus

We build and power American industry. Our companies self-perform industrial mechanical and piping work, build data centers, and operate a power plant — and we're growing by acquisition. We need a Controller to own the numbers across all of it.

## The role

You'll run finance and accounting for SOLC, Option 1, TEC and every company we add next. You'll own the close, job costing, WIP and consolidation. You'll lead our back-office team and bookkeepers, run treasury and compliance, and make our books audit-ready and bondable. This is a CFO-track seat reporting to our acting CFO.

## What you'll do

- Close the books monthly for every entity and deliver consolidated financials

- Own construction accounting: job cost, WIP, percent-of-completion, retainage, pay apps

- Set up and run power-plant accounting for our energy business

- Lead and develop a team of bookkeepers, accountants and admins (onsite and remote)

- Run the 13-week cash forecast, payment approvals and bank relationships

- Design, approve and enforce the processes and SOPs for AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations and month-end close

- Build our bonding/surety package and keep controls tight

- Integrate the books of each company we acquire

## You are

- Hungry. You want to build a finance function and grow into the CFO seat.

- Energetic. You move fast and don't wait to be told.

- Obsessive about details. Unreconciled accounts keep you up at night.

## You have

- 7+ years in accounting, 3+ as Controller or Assistant Controller

- Construction or industrial contractor accounting (job cost, WIP, POC)

- Multi-entity consolidation experience

- Experience managing bookkeepers or staff accountants

- CPA strongly preferred; energy, bonding and M&A experience a plus
