B2U Storage Solutions, Inc. (B2U) is the leading provider of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) utilizing 2nd life OEM EV battery packs. B2U’s patented energy storage systems are interconnected to the grid, selling energy and grid services into wholesale markets. B2U’s energy storage systems have been operational since 2020. B2U’s second grid connected energy storage system has been operational since November 2023. A third facility is now being converted from PV only to a hybrid storage facility. Position Overview

:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional looking to contribute their expertise to a dynamic startup environment while working on a fractional basis.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Oversee and manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and budget reports.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on financial strategy and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage tax compliance, including coordination with external tax advisors.
• Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial documents and assisting with due diligence.
• Work closely with the executive team to ensure financial efficiency and growth alignment.

Qualifications

:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth company. .Manufacturing/tech experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $140,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
