SYNCRONYS, a New Mexico not for profit organization, is at the forefront of health and technology serving as a critical hub for secure, reliable health information, driving better clinical outcomes. SYNCRONYS is New Mexico's Health Data Network, connecting healthcare, public health and community partners through a trusted, statewide, Health Data Utility Model. Operating the state's designated health information exchange and a suite of other solutions, SYNCRONYUS enables secure, equitable and accountable data for a comprehensive view of individual and population health for New Mexicans.

The Finance Director is responsible for providing financial and programmatic support to the organization while monitoring and promoting the financial health of SYNCRONYS. The position supports the Executive Leadership Team on financial matters including budget management, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting needs. Responsibilities include managing and analyzing financial statements, developing, monitoring and forecasting budgets and cash flow, and ensuring compliance with financial and tax compliance. Additionally, this position supports the preparation of new business proposals and reviewing and approving SYNCRONYS provider and vendor contracts. This position is eligible for remote work following the SYNCRONYS remote work policy.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for recommending, developing, and implementing financial processes and control policies to ensure compliance, accuracy, quality and timeliness of processes and reporting of the financial operations.

2. Responsible for oversight of fiscal policies of the corporation and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulations, including but not limited to 403 (b) compliance.

3. Prepare reports to forecast revenues and expenses and related cash flows to ensure timely and accurate information for cash management.

4. Responsible for preparation of the budget, reviewing proposal budget and preparing appropriate supporting documentation and justification.

5. Work with the external audit team to conduct the annual financial audit and to prepare tax reporting required for the State of New Mexico and the federal government.

6. Provide monthly financial status to the Leadership team to ensure timely review of financial status and progress in programs and activities.

7. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee federal and state awards and programs.

8. Support the CEO, executive leadership team and the Audit & Finance Committee of the Board in developing financial strategies.

9. Provide financial reporting to the Audit & Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and other relevant outside parties as required.

Experience

· 10+ years proven accounting

· Minimum of 5 years working in healthcare and non-profit sector

· Ability to speak, read and write in English language

Must be in possession of a valid Driver’s License

Preferred Experience

CPA highly preferred

5+ years as a senior-level accounting or finance manager

Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis

Working knowledge of non-profit sector reporting requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
