The Tax Director position is responsible for oversight of Partnership Income Tax, including the provision, compliance, and acquisition diligence and integration processes.

Position Responsibilities

* Oversight and involvement in the partnership income tax compliance process in conjunction with KPMG * Oversight of partnership state tax payments, monthly accruals, tax account analysis and reconciliation process * Oversight of the deal and integration process from a partnership income tax perspective; including fielding questions, and working with Development, internal and external legal counsel and Diligence and Integration teams. * Field questions regarding partner K-1s from physicians and their tax advisors * Manage partnership income tax audits * Proactively minimize interest and penalty assessments * Lead income tax research, planning and special projects * Identify and implement process efficiencies and improvements * Effective communication with Facility and Support Services teammates as needed to timely resolve issues

Qualifications: Education and Experience* Degree in Accounting and at least 10+ years of income tax experience, including partnership tax experience * CPA Certification and/or Masters in Tax or Accounting a plus * Technical understanding of income tax and GAAP reporting * Team management experience required * Experience in managing external vendors

* Able to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment * Able to effectively manage, analyze and review large amounts of data * Able to consistently meet deadlines and objectives * Comfort in interacting with all levels of teammates and external parties * Skilled writer with the ability to craft concise, impactful messaging * Must exhibit SCA Health values * Expert in Microsoft Applications * PeopleSoft Accounting System experience a plus

Min: USD $165,000.00/Yr. Max: USD $185,000.00/Yr.
