Description of Role

The Director of Technology Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s technology function — from infrastructure and systems architecture to team leadership and vendor relationships. This individual will serve as the operational backbone of HLP Integration’s technology delivery, ensuring all systems, processes, and personnel are aligned to drive business growth and client success.

The Director of Technology Operations is expected to demonstrate excellent technical acumen, executive-level communication, and the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead and manage technology operations functions including IT infrastructure, systems administration, network operations, cloud platforms, helpdesk/support, and cybersecurity operations.

● Develop and execute the technology operations roadmap aligned to organizational strategy and professional services implementation

● Assist in designing and implementing Technology solutions that meet business requirements.

● Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and security.

● Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and adoption of best practices (ITIL, DevOps, SRE).

● Manage and mentor a high-performing team of technology professionals; oversee hiring, performance management, and talent development.

● Lead major technology projects including system upgrades, migrations, integrations, and disaster recovery programs.

● Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for third-party technology services and software.

● Oversee the technology operations budget; forecast needs, manage costs, and identify efficiencies.

● Partner with business stakeholders across departments to translate operational needs into technology solutions.

● Establish KPIs and SLAs; report regularly to executive leadership on performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

● Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for critical technology issues.

● Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable).

Required Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

● 10+ years leading technology modernization and transformation, 5+ years in a senior operations or director-level role.

● Proven track record managing large-scale IT operations, infrastructure, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

● Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.

● Experience managing technology budgets of a minimum of $5M.

● Experience Leading cross-functional teams of 15+ employees.

● Experience Leading a minimum of 15+ employees and 25+ external personnel team contributors on an IT services project.

● Experience leading a portfolio of large IT services projects

● Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change

● Excellent communication and executive presence; ability to present to C-suite and board-level audiences.

● Strong project and program management capabilities (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred).

● Familiarity with federal security, compliance, ATO, and governance processes related to change and release management.

● U.S. Citizenship REQUIRED and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

● ITIL certification or equivalent service management experience.

● Experience in a high-growth or enterprise-scale environment.

● Familiarity with SRE, DevOps, and agile methodologies.

● Industry certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS professional, Azure Administrator, CISSP, CISM, or similar.

● Experience supporting FedRAMP / NIST-aligned environments

Pay: $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
