WHO WE ARE
Client Accelerators is a performance marketing agency that helps clients scale through media buying, appointment setting, and data-driven growth strategy. We are building the operating system of a modern agency, one where a single source of truth exists for every data type, automation carries the load that manual work used to, and success is a function of the system rather than any one person maintaining it.
Client Accelerators is a paid advertising agency that specializes in Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Google Search, and Google Display ads. The agency officially launched back in 2018. Since then, we’ve grown to over 50 clients and cumulatively spend over $40 million a year in ad spend for our clients.
Our main focus is on the High-Ticket Funnel Industry. We’ve crafted a unique set of strategies that scale ads and outperform our competitors from both a media buying perspective and a creative building perspective. Since we’ve focused on funnel marketing, these strategies are fine-tuned to the needs and complications of our clients before we even meet them.
Client Accelerators is located in Westfield, NJ, where we have an inhouse +remote team of 32 who enjoys crushing our competition with hyper-focused, data-driven marketing strategies. While we support each other as challenges arise, there is always room for a little friendly competition. Whether we’re fighting to hit the best numbers for our clients, or showing each other up in a Friday night game of ping-pong, we are always working towards being the best we can.
Our Core Values are
- We are Problem Solvers: If you spot a problem in our company or a client’s company, provide a solution. There’s millions of problems, and not as many problem solvers, be the solution.
- Open Source Code: We share what’s working with everyone
- Empty The Bucket: If you just spent two hours cleaning your car, you put all of the cleaning materials away, but you notice you missed a spot, you go back, get everything back out, and finish the job.
- We’re a ‘TEAM’ not a Family: Leaders at CA, hire, develop, and cut smartly, so we have Superstars at every position. We only work with the best at their craft.
- Ownership Thinking: Extreme ownership in everything you do. Going out of your way to make sure your actions and the actions of your peers are in the best interest of the company
- Being The Best: Mastering your domain so you’re the best in the world at it
**If our culture and mission does not resonate with you, please do not bother applying.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Client Accelerators team is looking for a seasoned, multifaceted Director of Operations who has built and scaled an agency before and is not learning on the job. This is a critical leadership role for an operator who can walk into fragmented systems, an informal team culture, and a robust amount of data, and see that as the job rather than the obstacle.
You will build the dashboards, financial controls, team cadences, and people systems that let the business scale while freeing the CEO to focus on his zone of genius. Your first priority is to reduce the load that currently flows through the founder by building the structure that makes escalation to him the exception rather than the rule. You do this not by taking tasks from him, but by building the systems that make the operation run without him. The application code word is EMPOWER. The Director of Operations is a highly skilled strategic thinker who anticipates and solves problems in a self-directed way, and who empowers and builds a team around them to move fast while maintaining culture and quality.
This role will lead Client Accelerators through a chapter of rapid growth and transition in close collaboration with the CEO. This is a remote position. Employment type is 1099 for the 90 Day Probationary and the option to pivot to W2 after. Given the critical nature of this role, we host a rigorous, 4-part application process.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE UNIQUE
You will be stepping into a business with real financial ambition and the early instinct to be a data-driven, automated agency, but one that still runs on a layer of manual spreadsheets, disconnected systems, and institutional knowledge concentrated in one person. Your mandate is to turn that instinct into infrastructure.
Your success will be measured by one ultimate outcome: building an operation where the CEO can step out of day-to-day operations, finance, and team management, and the business runs as a self-managing machine. You will establish clear 30/60/90/180-day milestones, operating cadences, and decision-making frameworks that make the strategic direction visible at every level of the organization.
This role requires someone who earns authority rather than assumes it. You will not receive a warm welcome by default, and you will not overcome skepticism with enthusiasm. You will earn trust through consistent structure, clear KPIs, and results that speak before you do.
RESPONSIBILITIES (TASKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ROLE)
Strategic Leadership & Vision Execution
- Work closely with the CEO to actualize the company vision and cascade it into daily accountability
- Translate high-level goals into actionable strategic plans with clear initiatives, owners, deadlines, and OKRs
- Serve as the glue that holds departments together, ensuring cohesion and alignment across the business
- Provide clear, high-level updates to ownership on operations and strategic initiatives
Systems, Automation & Single Source of Truth
- Build an environment where a single source of truth exists for every data type and manual input is the exception
- Evaluate the tool stack, identify what should be automated, and sequence the build prioritization
- Hold the line on manual processes that belong in the backlog, and know the difference between a durable automation and a fragile one
- Ensure no critical process lives only in someone's head through documented SOPs and systems
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Own the P&L with the discipline of a CFO, managing OPEX actively as a lever rather than a line on a report
- Read a messy P&L, identify the distortions, and produce a clean financial view leadership can act on
- Hold OPEX stable or compress it as a percentage of revenue as growth accelerates, rather than hiring ahead of systems
- Convert multi-tab dashboards and complex operational data into one-page views a leadership team can decide from
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead a fully remote, predominantly international team, establishing formal accountability without dismantling the informal relationships that make the team run
- Recruit, manage, promote, and train an effective team, and manage the evolving org chart and culture
- Build leadership layers where they do not yet exist, developing people promoted from execution roles into genuine leaders
- Hold department heads and team members accountable to outcomes, and own the difficult conversations that maintain that accountability
REQUIREMENTS (EXPECTED PROFICIENCIES)
Experience Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- You have personally built and scaled an agency from early growth stage through to eight figures, from fragmented systems and unclear roles to a running machine
- You own P&L with CFO-level discipline and understand OPEX deeply as a lever you manage actively, including reading a messy P&L and producing a clean financial view
- You have built AI and automation into the daily operating rhythm of a growth-stage company, not treated them as future-state aspirations
- You have led fully remote, predominantly international teams as your standard operating environment, and understand the cultural dynamics and informal power structures that develop over time
- You have built leadership layers in companies that did not have them, and developed execution-level people into leaders
Core Competencies
- Converting complexity into clarity: taking a wall of KPI data or a complex operational picture and producing a one-page view a leadership team can act on
- Systems thinking to design scalable processes and automations that do not depend on founder involvement
- Data and KPI management to establish, track, and optimize meaningful metrics across every level of the business
- Change management to roll out new standards, systems, and expectations to a team that has experienced inconsistent structure
- Outcome-based management philosophy rather than input or time-tracking approaches
Critical Soft Skills (Deal-Breakers)
- You earn authority through consistency and delivered results, and establish credibility before you ask for it
- You push back with data, not deference. You can sit across from the CEO, tell him his instinct is wrong, and back it with a better plan, without being a yes-person or a passive order-taker
- You cascade vision into daily accountability, translating strategic direction into goals, owners, deadlines, and checkpoints visible at every level
- You process information quickly, make decisions under incomplete data, and execute without needing permission for every move
- You have cultural intelligence in networked remote teams, earning trust across cultural lines and building on top of existing relationships rather than overriding them
Technical Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail, time-management, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working 100% remotely and managing distributed, international teams across multiple time zones
- Self-starter who manages schedule, team, and deadlines without direct supervision
- Data-driven decision maker able to analyze data and make critical choices based on evidence
- Candid and direct communicator with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain core collaboration hours between 9:30am to 6:00pm EST.
Mindset & Cultural Fit
- You are a builder, not a manager of the status quo. You are genuinely excited by a performance marketing agency scaling a remote international team with real financial ambition
- You hold yourself to the highest standards of performance and are resilient in the face of obstacles or failure
- You thrive in fast-changing environments and are comfortable with ambiguity during periods of rapid transformation
- You are not looking for a stable corporate operations role. You are looking for something to build
BENEFITS
- Compensation: $120,000 to $140,000 commensurate with experience + bonus structure tied to growth of the organization.
- Employment type is 1099 for the 90 Day Probationary and the option to pivot to W2 after
- Unlimited PTO
- Standard US Holidays are observed for US based team members
- Professional Development: This role will be supported by an external Ops program that includes Ops mentorship, community, and live coaching.
