The Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Director of Finance to strategically develop, maintain, and oversee the systems that support the financial health and long-term sustainability of the organization. As a hands-on financial expert, you will lead budget development and tracking and continually strengthen our core financial systems—spend management, contract execution, and business planning and budgeting. This role plays a strong supporting role in fundraising and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, building the analyses and tools that model organizational cash flow, costs, and scenarios.
• Partner with program and department leaders to support budget ownership, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate, timely financial reports; including monthly and annual financial statements, budget-to-actual analysis, cash flow plans, and dashboards.
• Oversee CBV’s externally managed investment portfolio in accordance with the Board-approved investment policy, including coordinating with the investment advisor, monitoring per
