Job Description

The Director, Communications and Marketing serves as the primary communications leader for Conrac Solutions and the CS family of companies, responsible for setting and executing the organization's overall communications strategy across internal, external, and stakeholder-facing channels. This role acts as the principal advisor to the leadership team on messaging, brand positioning, and reputational matters, and holds day-to-day ownership and decision-making authority for the communications function, including supervision of related and assigned staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications and Marketing

  • Owns and directs communications and marketing strategy for the CS family of companies
  • Develops, owns, and maintains the company's crisis communications plan, including protocols for internal and external notification, media response, and executive spokesperson designation
  • Plans and manages media and press interface and materials and social media and associated applications
  • Maintains brand identity and assets, including website and digital media assets
  • Ensures messaging aligns with key business strategies
  • Produces and manages company graphics, and associated promotional collateral
  • Works across teams to strategize effective communication implementation and execution of corporate initiatives
  • Supports executives in crafting speeches, messaging and talking points
  • Establishes and maintains communications policies and processes

Internal Communications

  • Develops and executes an internal communications strategy that keeps employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company strategy and culture
  • Owns the townhall program, including content development, executive talking points, and follow-up communications
  • Manages internal channels (intranet, email, digital signage, or other platforms) to ensure timely and consistent employee messaging
  • Partners with HR and executive leadership on change management communications, including organizational changes, policy updates, and major announcements
  • Develops messaging to reinforce company culture, values, and strategic priorities across all levels of the organization

Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations

  • Serves as primary point of contact for communications coordination with airport authorities, government agencies, and industry associations
  • Oversees CS participation in industry events, publications, and association memberships/conferences
  • Supports investor and parent-company (Meridiam) communications, including messaging alignment on strategic initiatives and interface with Meridiam’s Compliance function
  • Partners with business development to craft public-facing narratives for new market pursuits and RFP/RFQ processes

Team and Operations Management

  • Manages department budget and oversees related vendors and contractors, including negotiation and performance management
  • Supervises Proposal and Marketing Specialist and provides support, resources and guidance to excel in day-to-date responsibilities and in role as Proposal Manager within the CS Procurement Framework

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Business
  • 10+ years communications industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including experience in leading both internal and external communications. Experience in airport infrastructure, real estate development, public-private partnerships (P3) or rent-a-car industry a plus
  • 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring employees
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Expert communication skills for both oral and written language
  • Interest and understanding of current industry trends, issues and best practices in public relations, marketing, communications, community relations and public affairs
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and communications theory, principles, practices and strategies
  • Expert competency of the English language including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
  • Understanding of copywriting, graphic design, layout and publishing
  • Considerable knowledge of budget development and administration oversight
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer software including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, hardware, and related technology

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
