DevOps / Test Engineer – Job Description

Boon Logic Inc. is looking for a DevOps/Test Engineer to help us build, test, and ship reliable software. You'll write automated test suites, support our GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to system-level testing so our products work end to end. This is a great fit for someone a few years into their career who's ready to take real ownership of our test and CI/CD infrastructure and grow into a more senior role over time — you'll work closely with our team and get direct coaching during onboarding as you build toward running this independently.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automated test suites in Python using pytest
• Build Selenium-based UI tests of JavaScript code
• Own the day-to-day of our GitLab CI/CD pipelines, driving improvements as you get up to speed
• Contribute to system-level testing, including integration and end-to-end scenarios
• Work with development teams to improve testability, coverage, and release quality
• Triage test failures, identify root causes, and drive fixes
• Propose and implement improvements to test reliability, speed, and reporting across the pipeline

Required Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience in DevOps, test automation, or a related engineering role
• Working knowledge of Python, including some experience with pytest
• Some exposure to JavaScript for writing or maintaining Selenium UI tests
• Familiarity with GitLab or similar CI/CD tooling
• Some hands-on experience with AWS services
• Comfortable in Linux environments with basic shell scripting
• Strong problem-solving instincts, a willingness to dig into failures, and comfort documenting your own work
• Comfortable using AI tools (or eager to learn) to speed up your own workflow and improve process

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker or other containerization tools
• Any exposure to testing embedded or edge systems
• Familiarity with Go and/or C++

What We Offer

• Base salary: $110,000–$120,000, based on experience
