As a Data Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Program Integrity (CPI) on the Unified Case Management (UCM) system. As a PostgreSQL database engineer with administrator experience, you will play a crucial role in supporting the database quality and performance that will enhance the investigative capabilities against fraud, waste, and abuse within CPI.

• Administer and support AWS-hosted PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS/Aurora) environments, including daily monitoring, backups, snapshots, restores, and routine maintenance.
• Manage database snapshot retention, restoration, and refresh processes across production, lower environments, reporting schemas, and test environments.

* Provide database/migration support for major application releases, including schema changes, data fixes, rollback planning, and deployment validation.
