About the role

The Luxury Pergola is growing fast, and our finance function needs to keep pace. We’re looking for a Controller who can walk in on day one and start making an impact immediately. This isn’t a role with a long ramp-up period or a large team to lean on. It’s a chance to build on the accounting foundation of a company that’s scaling quickly across our dealer network and direct-to-consumer channels.

You’ll work side-by-side with our CFO in our Noblesville office, running day-to-day accounting, keeping our numbers clean and timely, and help continue building the structure for financial operations that are evolving as quickly as the business. What you’ll do

• Own the full accounting cycle: general ledger, month-end and year-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Manage AP, AR, and payroll oversight, and keep cash flow tracked and reported
• Produce accurate, on-time monthly financial statements and management reporting
• Maintain and improve our financial operations in NetSuite, including approval workflows and reporting
• Build and maintain finance dashboards and KPI reporting for the CFO and leadership team
• Strengthen internal controls and separation of duties as the company grows
• Serve as our internal point person on all things accounting, coordinating with our outside accounting team, vendors, and banks on tax, audit, and compliance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis directly for the CFO

What you bring

Required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role
• Strong command of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP)
• CPA
• Experience in a product, e-commerce, manufacturing, or multi-channel/dealer environment
