Assistant Corporate Controller

We are hiring a Assistant Controller.

The Assistant Controller is responsible for the company’s financial reporting, consolidation, and higher-level accounting activities. This role connects the execution of Corporate Accounting activities with the broader controllership responsibilities and ensures underlying accounting records are appropriately reflected in the company’s financial statements. The Assistant Controller develops a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial results and is expected to identify unusual activity, challenge accounting conclusions, resolve complex accounting matters, and continuously strengthen financial reporting processes and policies.

This role can work remotely anywhere in the US, but must be willing to travel to any of our sites, as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Own the preparation, review, and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Own the consolidation process, including intercompany activity, eliminations, foreign entities, and consolidation adjustments.
• Provide higher-level oversight of the monthly close and ensure significant accounting and reporting matters are appropriately resolved and challenge results when appropriate.
• Own or provide oversight of complex accounting areas, significant estimates, reserves, equity, debt, and non-routine transactions.
• Support development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate financial statement audit activities and serve as a primary accounting resource for external auditors.
• Coordinate tax activities and serve as primary resource to external tax team.
• Provide accounting guidance and technical development to the Accounting Manager and Corporate Accounting team.
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial reporting and close processes, including automation where applicable.
